Cultural News Association, non-profit for supporting Cultural News, presents its benefit concert “Celebrating 25th Anniversary of Cultural News - Ken Koshio Sings Songs of Showa Era (1926-1989) Concert" on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Zenshuji Soto Mission Temple in Little Tokyo, Downtown Los Angeles.
The inaugural issue of English tabloid Cultural News was printed in July 1998, and Cultural News had been issued monthly until March 2020 when the pandemic forced all social activities to shut down in the nation. But Cultural News was relaunched as an online weekly newsletter in June 2020 and is continued to until today.
Non-profit Cultural News Association was formed in 2019 to support projects by Cultural News including online publishing and community outreach to share experiences of Japanese and Japanese American heritage in Los Angeles and beyond the region.
The March 29 event is the first fundraising for $30,000 annual budget.
